1st-MJC-Day Milan, April 2 and 3 2005

The 1st Milan Junior Camp Day took place on April 2 and 3 in Milan. 63 participants took part to the event. They arrived from 14 different countries: Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Denmark, El Salvador, Japan, Guatemala, Switzerland, Italy, Malta, USA, Uruguay and Venezuela. The participants were selected at Milan Junior Camp of Summer, winter of 2004 and spring of 2005.
Due to the suspension of all sport activities that Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) decided for the death of Pope John Paul II, the schedule of the event (game attendance and kids’ parade at San Siro Stadium and friendly tournament) was modified. Saturday the kids made a tour of the Stadium and then, on Sunday an exclusive visit to Milanello, the training center of the AC Milan team, where they had the possibility to meet AC Milan players.
Each year the tournament focuses on a specific age group which is typically announced at the end of September. Outstanding athletes that have been identified during the camp by Milan technical staff and that fall in the specified age category will receive an invitation to attend the Milan Junior Camp Day. Travel arrangements are organized on behalf of the families but all expenses are the responsibility of the family should they accept the invitation.
This year 30 Countries will particpate in this outsanding world class tournament!
